Our logo was inspired by the rescue & rehabilitation of Lazarus, a Barn Owl chick back into the wild in a national park in Africa.

The Superpower Sleuth was created by an EYFS/primary school teacher who has spent over 20 dedicated years working primarily with children aged 2-5 years in their vital years of child development, and training as a SENCo. Seeing tangible proof how with love, space, time & specific teaching support children can turn their neurodiversity, trauma, health challenges, physical disabilities, learning difficulties, EAL status & challenging home environments...into their superpower.

The Superpower Sleuth's ethos focuses on small group intervention work in pre-schools & primary schools, assisting teachers & SENCo's to  give children in need the opportunity to become their own champions and build confidence. Interventions take the form of Lego Play, Emotion Coaching, Life Skills with a feelings doll, Early Talk Boost and Phonics & Reading Support and ease the pressure if pending referrals are in place.

Parents/Carers  are charged privately, records are kept with schools and feedback on progress is given. Schools can also commission intervention work as part of their enrichment programmes. Pop-up sessions in the community are offered at various intervals in the year, sometimes with other professionals to support local & expand the outreach of children. Keep a look out here & on social media for details.

Our paint burst

Uniting with Space Within

Bee here logo.jpg

The creator of The Superpower Sleuth, Leigh Farmer, met Space Within founder, British Wheel of Yoga instructor and Movement Therapist Lisa Carson  whilst working at Yeladenu Pre-school in Muswell Hill. Over nearly 5 years, their similar outlooks & ideas, methods of teaching and passion for helping young children came together like a paint burst...and their union began. Bee Here is a space for teaching children from as little as 3 years old the practice of movement, mindfulness & breathwork. Both teachers strongly advocate children's mental health, ability to use their voices & freedom of expression.

'Lisa is ‘the real thing’ when it comes to yoga – not only is she incredibly knowledgeable about the postures and their benefits and extremely attentive to everyone’s physical needs and abilities, but she combines this technical knowledge with a down-to-earth understanding of the spiritual side of yoga and how it is relevant to us in our everyday lives. You can come into the class stressed, sad, anxious…and leave with the weight of your worries removed from your shoulders, and your body feeling light and rejuvenated.' ~ Clare Cantor
